Car Care Clinic
Exstorting their customers

My husband stopped at Car Care Clinic Centurion Tuesday morning on his way to work after feeling a vibration on the front wheels of our 1998 Hyundai Accent 1.3 XS. After checking the vehicle Pieter told us that all the gearbox mountings needed to be replaced. He quoted us R7886.50 to repair, Rack ends, Tie rod ends, CV joints, Wheel alignment, Gearbox Tail Mounting, front and rear gearbox mounting plus labour. Upon further investigation and talking to a couple of other mechanics and the Hyundai dealer, it turns out half of the parts quoted for is incorrectly quoted on. We took the car to another mechanic, where this mechanic physically showed us what the real problem is and that the gearbox mountings are fine, and that it is the CV joints/boots that is the real problem. My husband had to pay R353.40 for the false information (extortion) at Car Care Clinic and had to take the rest of week off (4 DAYS), because of Pieter's false report we thought that the gearbox will fall off/out. I feel that Car Care Clinic Crevice Centre saw us coming and tried to make a quick buck out of us, by telling us a complete lie. I want the R353.40 fee refunded and compensated for the 4 days lost income.
