0n 1 October 2013 at 8.15am the Airbags did not inflate during a bad accident in a brand new Ford Eco Sport the driver of the vehicle sustained serious internal injuries plus injuries to the neck, shoulder, legs and spine. The Ford dealer maintains the vehicle was not hit hard enough to inflate the airbags.
The Eco Sport was hit by a fully loaded builders bakkie which had a bull-horn on the front, the driver of this vehicle went through the red light at speed sending the EcoSport into another lane of traffic.
Why have airbags if they do not work!!! There were other electrical problems with the Ford vehicle which no one seems in the least bit interested in.
