On 24/10/2013 my daughter was driving from Stellenbosch to Mosselbay to visit us for the weekend. 12 Km before Swellendam she was involved in an accident. She had to swing out the road because of tyre debris in the road, her car started sliding hitting the barriers along the road and ended up in a ditch. The back and front of car was badly damaged. Our insurance company wrote the vehicle off.
We bought this vehicle thinking of the safety of our child, since it was suppose to be a safe vehicle with the airbags etc. The airbags did not deploy during the accident. My daughter was hurt in the process. Thank she is still alive, but suffering from severe pain. She is a student and currently writing her final exams. She has to do this enduring a lot of pain.
According to the assessor of our insurance company, the airbags did not work.
I contacted Ford and was requested to forward photos of the car, which I did. I then got an email by Ford Customer Relations Team just saying the case is now closed. With no explanation at all, no phone call, nothing.
The is the worst service I experienced in my life. I kept the response I got from them.
I will not ever advise anyone to by a Ford.
