On the 28th of august my brand new 3.2 4x4 automatic ford ranger broke down between potchefstroom and ventersdorp. Ford had to come and pick up the bakkie. I've had the ranger for less than a year. After waiting several hours, I had to call my wife to come and pick me up, as ford did not supply me with a vehicle. I've been waiting for my bakkie ever since. They had to replace the engine, and I was scheduled to pick it up on the 17th of spetember, when the garage phoned and said that there had been another failure on the turbo. I now still have no vehicle, and have to drive around in a rental, which I also have to pay, as ford refused to assist me with a courtesy vehicle. The after sale service is pathetic and I have never in my life been so disgusted. This is a company vehicle, which means I loose money by the minute. How can one buy a brand new bakkie, with such a BIG price tag and in less than a year the engine must be replaced and you receive no service. I was also informed by the garage that this is not the first incident they've had with the ford rangers. This was my first ford, but I will never buy from them again! Rather stick to Isuzu, much better bakkie with excellent se
