I just about had enough!!! I have been struggling to fix my low power & high fuel consumption problem for 2 YEARS NOW! I bought a brand new ford fiesta 1.4 Ambiente 2 years ago. In the first week of purchase we complained about the fuel consumption problem, we are suppose to be getting 6.4L on 100km... AGGGG whatever!!! In the beginning we only got about 480km on a 42L tank of fuel, long distance or town driving, aircon off or aircon on. Now we only getting about 420km on a tank & the car has NO POWER AT ALL! Kempster Ford Umhlanga tested the vehicle on the machine... NO FAULT. Richards Bay tested the vehicle on the machine... NO FAULT. Klerksdorp tested it and they said the Oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. Replaced the sensor in Newcastle (we live here now) hey, & guess what? NO CHANGE WHATSOEVER ON THE POWER AND FUEL CONSUMPTION! Yes, we have been by the Ombudsman, after a year & a half we are still waiting for someone to get back to us as we DO NOT EVER get hold of them! IT IS RIDICULOUS TO GET ONLY 420KM ON A TANK OF FUEL FOR A 1.4 FORD FIESTA. I'm telling you 1 thing... I will NOT leave it here, I will go to every newspaper there is.. I was f*@&ed by Ford!
