I had a Navara 2010 (18 months), 2.5 manual 4x2 and drove it up to 220 000km. What a lovely bakkie. I averaged 950 to 1050 km on a tank of fuel (80Liters)
I decided to spoil myself rotten and purchase the 4x4 automatic. On request of poor fuel consumption, I was told that the 4x4 and automatic would not give me the same consumption. I am currently getting 500 to 620 km on a (80 Litres)
I have complained about my car that has a cluster problem. The gage indicates that I am getting 7.8 litres to a 100km. I end up getting 500km on the tank. When the fuel light, lights up, there is still 20 litres in the tank. This has now been on-going for 12 months. If I have to calculate the money wasted on poor fuel consumption, my losses have exceeded R20 000.
The last time they took my car in for 3 days to resolve the problem, they gave me a NP200 as a garage car. I complained and requested that I want a Navara or better. I did not purchase a car worth R400 000 plus to be driving in a dirty old NP200. When I received my vehicle back, the consumption was worse than ever. Nothing was done to fix my cluster. I was really upset and my patients tested to the limit. I
