ONE CUSTOMER LOST

Am still expecting my urgent parcel from DHL as the DHL people could not do a simple task of dialling my number and letting me know that I was required to make payment in order to have my parcel delivered. After making several costly calls of which a third of those calls were fruitless as none of the persons I spoke to could tell me what I needed to do because their system was down, I was later transferred to the Airport branch where a guy told me that I needed to pay R383.36 to have my parcel cleared. Had someone had the courtesy of calling me in time I could have made that payment immediately to avoid the unnecessary delay which later followed and I could be in receipt of my parcel right now.
I have made payment but I have been told that on top of the time they wasted for me keeping my parcel wherever it is without asking for the necessary from me, I have to wait another 9-12 working hours for the parcel to be released and I am not sure when it is eventually going to be delivered.

I still don't understand why it had to take so many calls for DHL to advise me that I needed to make payment seriously.
