Further to my complaint last year at this time when my NP200 went in for its 30 000km service and needed new discs...
I have just taken my car in for its 45 000km service, and guess what?!
I was advised that the discs and pads need replacing!
They then contacted me to say the pads will last untill the next service and they can skim the discs, BUT the discs and pads will need replacing at my next service.
DISCS and pads THAT LAST 30 000km... unbelievable! (I use the bakkie to drive to work and back in traffic... no load).
I dont blame the guys at Datcentre Durban (whom Ive taken the car to this time), in fact I highly recommend them for their service.
Nissan South Africa needs to get their act together and sort out the brake problems on the NP200 - this is NOT a wear and tear issue - It is SIMPLY SUBSTANDARD MANUFACTURING!
(I previously had a BMW 3 series - in 150 000km the discs never needed replacing - and I still drive the same way I did in my BMW)
