My vehicle has a 3 year service plan. Services are to take place every 15 000km or 12 months. Recently I heard a noise and I booked the vehicle in for a service.(next service due at 45 000km). I took it into Umhlanga Nissan Branch as that was close to work.
I was advised that morning that the brake pads were so badly worn that the discs had to be replaced. My complaint is that I believe the brake pads should have been changed at the last service by CMH Durban. They are the service specialists that are fully aware that the vehicle would only be coming in for the next service after 15 000km. There would be no reason for me to check them. There is no warning/light to indicate either. I contacted Nissan South Africa and they got the dealership to contact me. Richard, the DP at CMH Durban did contact me, but he tells me that it is not due to their negligence. I am not sure if other people have had the same experience with such service contracts? what do I do?
