On returning the vehicle to Avis the gentleman concerned (Mandla) immediately started attacking me and my mom verbally concerning some damage on the underside of the bumper on the passenger side as well as a slight mark at the bottom of the passenger's door. My mother tried to wipe the mark and was reprimanded by this gentleman. He did not want to believe us that I had not bumped the vehicle in any way and was adamant that we needed to fill in a damages report. On further inspection by the Supervisor, a lady we were told that an inspection on the vehicle is done and only that which is at eye level is reported. So in other words it was not our responsiblity to on the ground to inspect the car. The supervisor spoke to the gentleman concerned and was very apologetic and was very helpful and understanding. The gentleman however was very sarcastic to us on our leaving the premises with some sort of apology. To me this leaves a really bad taste in one's mouth. Having a good attitude towards the customer doesnt cost you anything.
