My vehicle was in for a service and so I hired a vehicle from Avis to get to work and back as I work in Alberton. When I arrived at Avis there were no group A cars available and the attendant said she only had dirty vehicles. Since I was only going to work I offered to take a dirty vehicle as I didnt have much of a choice as I needed to get to work and didn't have time to go elsewhere. The attendant said she didnt know how dirty the vehicle was but I could take it. I doubt there was an inspection done on the car between the previous rental and before I took it as it hadn't been cleaned (the previous rental agreement was even still inside) When I returned the vehicle the attendant was busy so I just left my keys with her. Not 15min later I got a phone call to say that there was damage to the vehicle I had returned. I told the attendant that there was no way I did that damage as I know for a fact that I didn't damage the vehicle while driving and it was parked at the office all day. She said ok and that she wanted to hire out the car to someone else (again dirty) but couldn't. I received the inv. for the rental today and have been charged R980 for damages i DID NOT DO. I was never consulted
