I am getting really annoyed with the Engen garage at Ring road, when you tender R100 or two hundred rand and paying via your debit card and when the pump goed over by between 5c and 15c they punch into the machine the cents over although you told the attendant R100, 00 or R200, 00. This is not good business practice because if you had the cash you would have just paid the exact amount which you have asked for. If you calculate the vast customers cents over the tender amount, these garge owners are actually getting out a lot over a period of time. When I have asked the attendant why this is so, the response I got was it is the way the system is set up, what a lame rubbish excuse!!! Other garges like Sasol pumps can actually set the exact amount you ask for then it will do just that. Engen I think this is a unfair business practice that has to stop there are technology available to rectify this, and I surely think you can not be that frugal to spend money on your business to benefit yourself and giving the customer a fair transaction. I expect a repsonse from this as soon as possible!!!
