I booked a point to point transfer in Jhb on 20th August 2013 - cost was R 439.00. Service was good.
Yesterday, I had an sms from my bank stating that R 1534.77 was reserved by Avis for my purchase.
Phoned Avis who claimed it was a 'computer error' and advised that they would notify my bank and send me an sms later in the day to confirm.
No sms came. Phoned again today and was told they couldn't contact me because they did not have my contact details??? My booking form from them has cell no; office number; email address. Don't buy that line.
So I wait for the transaction to be reversed spending my time and my money in phonecalls.
First and last time I use Avis.
