If I could afford to, I would have gone to Lexus

Having just returned to the BMW fold, I have always know that they are not anywhere close to the level of service offered by Lexus. However, the fuel efficiency of the new 320i coupled with Lexus' releasing only a 3.5 version in South Africa (gas guzzler) meant I was forced to change. BMW service in Randburg (Club Motors) was excellent but my experience in Cape Town has been nothing short of disastrous. During a down pour on Wednesday, my car amongst a hundred in the complex was the only one to die out. I called Auto Assist at 7:55am and they showed up just before 8:30 (tick). By the time I left at around 11am, the towing company had not arrived. Auto Assist then arranged a 24 hour rental, which went beyond my expectation, but SMG simply were no bothered to call and inform me of what was happening. At 2PM I called and spoke to Tanya and she told me that she would prepare a job card and will feedback on Wed or Thursday AM. I called again on Thursday around 11am and spoke to Ridawaan. He too promised they would start working on a diagnosis and feedback. It is now 6pm, no one called to feedback, had to return the 24 hour rental and now rented a car with Budget. Lexus is my next car.
