About 2 months ago my kia sorento started over heating, many things were changed trying to address the problem, new pump, new thermostat new radiator cap to no avail.
Finally an emission test lead them to believe it was a a problem with the head.
Process is as follows:
Take the head off, send it to engineering, get a report back, apply for warranty, get warranty approval, request parts, have parts delivered from Korea. (when they arrive I'm sure they will then fit them)
That's where we are now. I work in Johannesburg but i live in the Freestate (i commute at weekends) no courtesy car. Instead dealer offers to rent me a car which I take (R300 plus VAT).
Today no car for rental, they let me know at about 3:30, to late to rent a car as all rented. They rarely phone, who knows when the parts will turn up. Rang Kia head office, spoke to customer service (4 times) each time they promise to phone back, of course its a lie.
Good car but rubbish service.
