I bought new tyres from the store in question in December of last year and in the interim have had no need to use the lock nut for the tyres until last week when I had a flat tyre. Being a typical woman I opted for the easy way out and phoned my road side assistance. The arrived soon enough, but after rifling through my boot in the pouring rain gave me the grave news that the lock nut is not there. I (stupidly) did not check myself but assumed being men and armed with several greasy looking spanners surely they would know. Long story short after several hours (involving a very unhelpful VW dealership) the lock nut was broken out of the wheel in question and I was told to go back to Hi-Q and ask them to fix me up.
I got there today and without even looking in my boot they started proceedings to order me a replacement. Then as they removed the flat tyre from my boot they had a cursory glance and found it in the little baggy of tools the road side assist had rifled through and sure enough. A lock nut. So I would like to compliment them on taking me on my word, offering assistance with a ready smile which made me realise that there are still people out there taking pride in their work
