I was interested in buying a car from Lisabank, so I got the paperwork and they want to charge 3000zar for roadworthy... which costs 380zar at testing station or 440zar through AA. They want to charge 1700zar for license.. um.. that about 200zar.. then they want to charge 1600 for paperwork... um.. what paperwork cost 1600zar?!?!? Must be rather special paper..
So the total is a whopping 6300zar that they want to put onto the finance for something that costs 500-600zar..
It's time we stop allowing companies to people like this.. this is no better than daylight and there should be laws that protect the consumer from such abuse.
I refused to sign and they said they can only offer me a discount after I have applied for the car.. can you believe it.. they really must think we are all stupid. So they have lost the sale of a car because they try people but obviously there are many people falling for this..
Anyway.. I just suggest you check what you are paying for.
