I used to own a little VW golf, found a buyer and sold the car. paid that money over to motor finance corporation and they have charged me initial finance charge of R 9761.45 of a payment of R30520.06 which means i still have an extra R9761.45 to pay off because they charged me the extra finance charges. how is one meant to pay off a car and try and save money when you have these companies bringing out continuous fees and charging more and more money. you would think by paying off a car quicker and paying in more money every month would help in the long run. but clearly trying to pay more a month is totally pointless. it is a money making business for people who do not have the cash to pay for a car up front. this should not be allowed to happen. i understand that a business has to make money, but people to make money shouldn't't be allowed and the South African government should stop this kind of behaviour and protect the innocent. i am also currently paying off a student loan and helping my parents out with money. i am so annoyed with MFC because no one told me i would be paying in extra if i paid as much as i could. i do not wonder why people do not like SA.
