I recently came across and advert on Gumtree for a 2nd hand vehicle at a 2nd hand motor dealership in Kempton Park. I contacted the sales person on the numbers provided. He informed me that he would forward me the finance application and stated that they do "Inhouse Finance" through BIDVEST BANK.
They e-mailed me the Bidvest Bank application which I completed and duly sent back to them. A day later I received an SMS informing me my application was succesful with a 10% deposit. I then again spoke to the sales person named Charlie Raymond, who then e-mailed me the Bidvest Bank Acknowledgement of Loan contract in which the details of the deal (term of finance, interest rate and monthly re-payments) were stated. he asked me to read through it and if I was happy I could come and view the vehicle and test drive it, and then sign the contract and finalise the deal with their F & I person.
I made arrangements to travel to JHB (from Emalahleni) on 23/7 to view the vehicle. When I arrived the salesperson's phone was off and the address they gave me did not exist. I decided to contact Bidvest directly for assistance and they informed me that they do not deal with motor dealers at all.
