I always buy online and usually take the cheapest shipping services that is available
I usually wait approx 8-10 working days at the most. I decided to try out DHL because it said the service takes 2-4 working days to deliver, from the others that take 8-10 days.
The DHL service cost me R199 and the parcel force was free because my value of the items where above R1999 so the online shop covers the shipping cost for parcel force.
I went for DHL instead, i am disappointed i had to phone them after 6 days witch was 4 working days for the release fee. They have charged me R279.16 for tax witch is correct for the value of R2000 goods and also another additional R150 for Disbursement Fee? What i never heard before?
My Grand total of R628.16 just to ship it faster and its taking them 8 days or 6 working days?
I phoned DHL an they said they received the payment that i will get the package tomorrow, he said approx 8-12 working hours. The next day i phoned again and the said the package is still at customs waiting to be released? DHL gave me false hope and said that they only received my payment recently? Id rather stick to easy shipping services like parcel force and usps and dont over charge me
