Clutch burnt out at 19993km

I have a Kia Rio 1400 hatchback. I bought the car new. I have a service, mainteanace and warranty plan. On the 28 June took in my car as it was sluggish and was told the clutch was burnted out due to customer abuse and driving style. A clutch could easily have a life span of up to 10 years. I cannot understand that I burned out the clutch within 18 months. The service consultant at Paarden Island told me that woman and hydraulic clutches don't go and that the clutch was supersensitive. He said that even if the foot rest near the clutch it will be engaged. I am driving since 1995 and never had to replace a clutch on any of my previous cars, some of which I have had for up to 6 years. I cannot believe that driving style and customer abuse is the reason. Why do I have a warranty plan, service plan and maintenance plan when I have to fork out R6600. This is not right. This is a new car. I then appeal this with Brandon Braaf at Kia Head Office in Germinston and got the same response. I am so disappointed in Kia. This is the first time I bought a brand new car. I expected better. My car is still with them. I have been 12 days without a car at great inconvenience.
