Good day,
A year ago we purchased a used Renault Scenic 1.9 DCI, up until about a month ago, we were extremely happy with the purchase! Unfortunately this has now changed.
About a month ago, I noticed that the clock on the dash kept on resetting itself, and within 2 days of this happening, my dash went out and has not been able to function since then. As two of our friends, also own Renault Scenics, we were advised that this cluster behind the dash was a problem from the beginning. I then contacted Renault SA who advised that as a gesture of goodwill, I can book my car in at any Renault dealer and that this problem would be resolved for R2500.00 incl labour. I then contacted the Kempton Park dealership, and was told that this is in fact not the case, but that I must forward them the e-mail from Renault SA and they would get back to me, this was THREE days ago!!! NO word, NO response, NOT even a confirmation that they received my e-mail. I then proceeded to contact Renault SA again to enquire if I should try another dealership or if I should just park my car and forget that I own a Renault - again NO reply!! I am extremely disappointed, and will not recommend a Renault to anyone!!!
