I bought a Honda motor-bike from Honda Kyalami (Honda Cayenne, Cayenne Sport cc?) on 13 April last year (2012).
I was taken aback to be charged a considerable sum to have the bike licensed (R 3200?)
The license duly arrived a couple of weeks later, but I found the VIN number was wrong, which I pointed out to the salesman, James Ridley. So begins a tale of woe.
I had to return the bike for a day, so that Honda could get it re-registered at Langlaagte. They did lend me a replacement bike.
That was more than a year ago.
Repeated phone-calls to Lena, who is supposedly dealing with the matter, and to her assistant when Lena was ill (which sadly, has been frequently), and enquiries in person (when picking up a succession of temporary licenses!), have proved fruitless.
They have my E-mail address and cell-phone number, but they remain silent. Now the licensing authorities are after me, presumably because of the conflicting VIN numbers.
Honda may give you wings, but sometimes also a pain the!
