PostNet SA
Late Courier of Books to Underpriveleged School

On Wednesday, the 19th of June 2013 at around 09:15, an order was placed with Postnet on Rissik Street in Johannesburg for the Overnight Express (by 11am the following day, 20 June 2013) delivery of Books to Buchule Technical High School in Mdantsane, East London. The courering agents are Courier IT. An amount of around R560.00 was paid in this regard.
Upon tracking the parcel on the 21st of June 2013 at 11am, the tracking report still stated that the books had not been delivered.
I spoke to Mr Oakley Meyer of the East London Branch of Courier IT expressing my disappointment and he asdvised that Postnet should have informed us that the books would only be delivered after 2pm on the 21st of June. The books only got delivered at 5pm that day!!!
Before PostNet decides to lay the clame on Courier IT, it must note that I first complained on this forum against the latter company and guess what? The blame was placed on PostNet! Of course, no-one appreciates that schools in the Eastern Cape were closing on 21 June for the holidays and the books did not reach their intended recepients, the pupils, for reading during the school holidays.

Disappointed!
