My son bought a Big Boy scooter from Tidal in August 2012. He has had endless problems and it has been in for repairs 6 times in not even a year. Each time it has gone in, they are taken over 2 weeks to fix it and not long thereafter, something else goes wrong. His bike is still under warranty and Tidal are aware of this but everytime they have to repair something they quote a price and we have to remind them everytime that the bike is under warranty.
Just 2 weeks ago the bike went in for repairs and my son only got the bike back last Thursday. On Tuesday afternoon he broke down again and when he phoned Tidal, they could not fetch it on the side of the road so my son had to arrange to leave it over night and transport it himself the next morning. He demanded the bike back in the afternoon but when he phoned to advise them that he was on his way, they said that he needs new back brakes and it would cost over R1000.00 and that the warranty did not cover this. The bike is only 9 months old and my son has had endless problems. Also everytime this bike has been at Tidal, he has had to phone and find out what is happening. Tidal NEVER phone the customer. Dont deal with them.
