Bought Polo 1.4 March 2011 at McCarthy Vw Middelburg. Asked if car was in an accident, salesman ensured us that it was not. On our way back home (Steelpoort) we expierence gear and other problems, reported immediatly. They repaired SOME of the problems. We took the vehicle to wheel alignment specialist in Pta and they informed us that vehicle was in an accident. We took it to AA test facility and they confirmed that vehicle was in an accident. They also reported more problems that we weren't aware of. We send the AA report to McCarthy VW Middelburg as well as Customer Care. The best deal they can give us is as follows:
:"1) We will look at the abs light which we have offered to do
2) we can settle the account at the bank on this vehicle outstanding interests included, after you have paid us for the use of the vehicle at the AA rate set out as per the attached AA Calculator. Amount: R 53, 517.24 This is calculated on the 201711km" How can any dealership buy or sell vehicles that were in accidents? Especially a well known company as McCarthy? This is unacceptable for the were lying to us. There is much more to tell but not enough characters left regarding this problem.
