Automobile Association
Zero Service

I have been an AA member for probably 30 years, of which there were a few years I was not. A year or two ago I put my fees on debit order.
On Sunday May 26 whist traveling back from KZN my fan belt broke. I managed to make it to the 1-Stop at Villiers. There was no MTN signal so I borrowed a Vodacom phone from the attendant who was very willing to help. I called the AA who told me my subscription had lapsed. I called my son who spoke to them. Why the debit order had stopped I do not know, so he offered to pay the full subscription to activate it again. They would accept that but still could not tow me. So I was left stranded.

That is what you get from the AA after paying for 30 years.

Now I understand why two girls (family friends) do not use AA when they were left at the side of the road in the Cape because they were "passengers" in the vehicle that broke down. You leave two girls stranded at the side of the road in SA, no matter the circumstances, you are the lowest as far as I am concerned.

As it turned out Dial Direct came to the rescue, did the tow but also called me every 20 min for an update because my wife is diabetic. 150% to Dial Direct. Why do I need the AA
