On 24 May approx. 21:00 we went to the convenient store at the BP Service Station to exchange our gas bottle.
The cashier explained that the gas bottle we want to exchange is not the correct one. We replied to her in a joke "Don't make your problem mine" and we had a great laugh For the past 7 years we are loyal customers to the specific service station. We are always making jokes and see to it that we are friendly with the cashier, and they are always friendly with us. We paid for the gas and we told the cashier we will go and get the correct bottle. The manager overheard half of the conversation and confronted us in a highly aggressive manner. The manager said that this is his problem because the gas bottle is not correct. Due to the unprofessional interference of the manager, the situation escalated. We approached the second manager to complain to him due to the aggressive way his fellow manager treated us. He was not willing to listen to any explanation. He walked away and told the customer that was waiting at the pumps what happened. And then the public turned against us. We were sweared to and threatened by the public. BP, you are a household name in SA???
