I had been to Woolworths in the Engen Garage on Rivonia Road on 22-12-2013 and purchased two 2 litres milk that had a special of one 500 ml milk bottle free. The 500 ml bottle was out of stock and since the milk was advertised with a free 500 ml for every two litres, I had picked up a 1 litre bottle. (This was allowed by most store managers where i had faced a similar problem). I was not allowed to do this and was told to buy the milk with out the 500 ml bottle or leave the store without buying the milk. When i insisted that i speak to the store manager (Crayton) I was told that they get a limited stock of the 500 ml bottle and as they were out of stock, I can come back to collect the 500 ml bottle when they had stock. They had written it on my invoice to collect the 500 ml bottle.
it was very frustrating to leave the shop with an argumentative staff who did not want to correct their problem and also i cannot understand how the 500 ml (that is free) is sold separately when the two litre bottles are not yet sold.
