Unprecedented poor and unfair service

My car had a once-off overheating incident a week before I was due for my service. During the service they looked at the issue and said that the thermastat was sticking so replaced it and charged me R7k. A week later on the way to Swaziland and the car overheated again. We had to drive back slowly to prevent it from burning out the engine. I took it back to Sandton and they kept it for 2 weeks, again it overheated when I got it back. I took it back another 3 times before they finally kept it for 3 months to fix it, with them sending me a R30k bill. I refused to pay as the damage was caused by their original incompetence. Eventually we settled on R10k. Ten months later the car overheated on a long journey costing R5k to tow back to Jhb. They have had my car for a week now and still haven't been able to tell me what the problem is. An independent mechanic told me that it was the same cylinder head again and I am being messed around. I am without a car again, they are taking their time to let me know the engineers report and they refuse to give me a loan car. My car was in their workshop for over 4.5 months last year with enormous aggravation and now we back to square one.
