On Friday 26 Apr, my i10 went for a routine 90000km service at Hyundai Bedfordview as it is close to my workplace in Sandton. Going home - in Centurion - 30 Apr, I noticed a strange noise, battery light on, engine overheating and fluids leaking. On Thu 2 May I phoned and spoke to Service manger at Bedfordview, who told me to have the car towed to Centurion Hyundai - passing the buck onto them. Fri 3 May, Centurion found a broken fan belt - one of the items replaced in the service, done 26 Apr at Bedfordview! Few phone calls back and forth on Fri 3 May, I requested a compression test to find out what other damage done to car's engine. They can not just replace the fan belt and be done with it. Today, 6 May, 6days without my car. No apologies. No reply to my messages. No response. Nothing. With our roads as unpleasant and unsafe as they are, it is just not acceptable for me to drive with a car that is not 100% in working order.
