I frequently take my family to this Nandos branch. Most of the the staff are very accommodating to special requests and ensure that you are satisfied! However, unfortunately there is one bad apple among them. She goes by the name of SINDI. You will usually find her taking orders. Whenever I place my order with her, I greet her with a warm and sincere smile - she is almost emotionless and unwelcoming in return. She makes me feel as though it is burden taking my order. I dread having to deal with her because of this.
One day while placing my order with another one of the staff, Sindi walks past and tells her something in Zulu, and they both begin laughing whilst looking at me. This made me feel totally uncomfortable. A patron who was standing beside me and understood Zulu told me that they were mocking me - clearly initiated by Sindi. This is TOTALLY unacceptable behaviour and against all basic customer service protocol. If she has a problem with my appearance or anything else about me, I respect that, but at least have the decency not to express it while standing right in front of me.
I felt humiliated.
How can an employee wilfully mock at a customer without any provocation??
