I took my wife to Aarya restaurant in Monte Casino for her birthday on the 10th of April 2013. My expectation was high as this is supposed to be a high quality restuarant. There was about 6 people in the restaurant and yet we waited more than an hour for food. My wife ordered the prawns which were highly recommended by the waitress and I ordered the spicey chicken livers and a Burger. The meat was not cooked properly and the livers were bland. The prawns were terrible and were stuck to the shells and was not worth the R180 pricetag for 6 prawns. Seems like they overcooked them. I told the waiter that the food was terrible, she just looked at us in amazement and walked off. I paid the bill and left. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone as it does not live up to the hype. You would be better off eating at an Ocean basket than Aarya!
