I am very disappointed in the service and quality of food we received at Ocean Basket Last week Thursday, 11 April 2013 at around 13h00. I can't even say it was due to the facility being extremely busy because there were more table empty than full. Coming from Mthatha (220km away) Ocean Basket is over favorite stop for lunch or dinner, well this will not be the case in future. For the first time ever, we did not have a Manager come and great us and ask us if everything is okay (a service we always receive in PE and usually in EL). We ordered two platters for one, well the fish was disgusting (tasted terrible and was over cooked - Angel Fish)(please bring back the Bassa), the muscles were black muscles, tasteless and not cooked with there normal cream sauce (the bit that was there was thin, runny and just not nice) and were not the normal New Zealand Muscles we are accustomed to. The prawns were over cooked and burnt. We called our waiter to ask for the Manager who had disappeared - told the waiter the problem, he offered to replace the fish, we said no thanks - he sent the cook out who sent us 6 prince prawns as an apology, these were at least better cooked. Worst experience ever!
