Last night we had supper at Ocean Basket and ordered a Prawns and fish meal and opted for the "upgrade that says "SWAP your prince for Queen or Kings" with their respective price differences. So we understood that that will be the price (R69) for the King prawns and fish instead of the (R64) for the prince prawns and fish.
Then when we received the bill, the R69 for the King prawns and fish was ADDED to the R64 for the prince prawns meal... NOW how the flip can you ADD the two and charge for TWO meals when the menu CLEARLY STATES "SWAP"???
So as for as I know, the Consumer Protection Act is on my side for this situation. The menu says SWAP! not ADD? And i"m getting soooo tired of these restaurants with their false advertising as well as service!
This restaurant chain will NEVER see us again!
