I recently visited Blue Route Mall Tokai.
My Grand Daughter had done well on her school report and I wanted to treat her.
At her request she opted for a "chicky" meal at KFC.
I then decided get myself a coffee and doughnut at Wimpy next door.
With my Grand Daughters "chicky" meal in hand, we decided to find a seat at wimpy.
The waitress at Wimpy refused to take my order as we had the KFC chicky meal with us.
The waitress indicated that my Grand Daughter was not allowed to be seated at Wimpy with a KFC meal.
The waitress then requested that my 8 year old Grand Daughter eat her meal next door at KFC, while I have my order at Wimpy separately.
I advised the waitress that Her request was ridiculous but she insisted on calling the manager and still refused to take my order.
The manager agreed with the waitress and requested my Grand Daughter to move.
I made them aware that my Grand Daughter was in my care and there was no way that I was going to have my meal separate to my Grand Daughter.
We ended up leaving.
We later spoke to KFC who advised this is a common issue. This may be affecting other customers and needs to be addressed.
