We decided to go to San Remo Spur on our way home to Cape Town. We got a warm welcome as we were seated, but that was it. We sat there for 24min before a waiter came to take our drinks order. We then asked the waiter what's the hold up, and he informed us they had a problem with the drinks machine and they had to buy 2ltr cooldrinks. After a 45min wait and quite thirsty, they served us watery drinks, no gas and not even cold, not the Spur quality I know. We then ordered our food which also took more than 30min. Raw burgers and cold chips. The restaurant wasnt busy at all that morning. The waiter and manager on duty were so confused with our orders, that they sent an extra burger special to our table. We informed the waiter that we all had our food and he should remove that from our bill. When the bill came we were not suprised to see the extra burger special on the bill. At this stage we were all tired and we just wanted to get on the road again. We argued another 30min with waiter and senior manager, and after all this he told us he did us a favour. Seriously? Both were ignorant and incompetent. Please provide more training to these gentleman, our visit wasnt pleasant at all.
