On Sunday 24.03.2013 I took my partner, sister & niece for cake & coffee at Limno's Claremont. I ordered the marble cheesecake which was delicious! My partner had the cappuccino cake & my sister had the black forest cake, which they both enjoyed. My poor niece ordered a slice of chocolate mousse which was sour! She ate some of the slice then questioned if it was made with a cream cheese that gave it a sour-ish taste, but when we tasted it, we had to politely spit it out! The cake was very clearly SOUR! Served straight from the display refrigerator! How many other patrons ordered that cake as a take away only to arrive home hoping to enjoy their dessert & find out it's off! Not the kind of quality any of us expect from such a high-end bakery / coffee shop! We were offered another slice of cake, but didn't accept. My note to you is not merely a complaint for a "freebie" Often management do not realise what is happening in the stores / coffee shops. These incidents can tarnish you reputation, word-of-mouth is a powerful marketing tool which can work in your favour or the complete opposite. How am I expected to recommend that particular branch & that particular cake to someone I know?
