I ordered a pc game on pre-order from Takealot, with the promise of it being delivered on the release date, 8 March. On 8 March I was very excited, since it is weekend, and enough time to explore this game. At 3pm I called Mr Delivery (the courier) and they confirmed that I will receive the game before 5:30pm. I didn't mind staying at work a bit longer for the pleasure of getting my game.
Well, 5:30 came and gone, no game, no call. I was furious, as I stay 30 km from work, and this buggered up my whole evening. I tweeted Takealot.
Things happened really fast then! They got in contact with Mr Delivery, and it was not long before the CEO of Mr Delivery called me. They were going out of their way to fetch my packet again (it has been delivered after 6pm) and bring it to my home.
At 9:15 that evening Arend called me again to tell me the delivery is almost at my door. We were still talking when the knock came.
Thank you Mr Delivery and Arend, and the poor delivery guy who gave up his Friday evening for my game. You now have a fan for life!!
