It is really starting to frustrate me that I have twice been confronted by another person to buy them food. Once in the drive through a man, I was sure was drunk, asked me to buy him a meal when I got closer to the window to place my order and after refusing it became evident that he had asked others too because he received food from them.
Where I draw the line, however, is my last visit. I walked into the KFC to get myself lunch and was confronted by a boy/teenager who then begged me to buy him food. This happened inside the KFC and after again refusing, the staff called him over and handed him a cup of ice. I find it really unacceptable that this sort of behaviour is encouraged. Especially since after this boy did not succeed with asking me, he then tried standing at the drive-through window.
I do not mind helping someone in need of food but I also don't like being made to feel guilty when I cannot afford it or do not feel comfortable giving someone the money I can afford when they could use it for other things.
