I had dinner with a couple of friends at the Drydock Restaurant at the Knysna Waterfront on Thursday 2 January. What a distaster!! We arrived there at 19h00 and got our drinks at 19h30, our dinner arrived at 20h45. I ordered a seafood pasta with EXACTLY 3 SMALL PRAWNS, 3 MUSSELS, 3 PIECES OF CALAMARINO FISH AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PASTA!! My friend ordered a fish dish that was off!! The wine was warm and they had no icebuckets, believe it or not!! We called, what we thought was the manager, who was more interested in keeping her long hair out of her face than anything else!! When she told us that they were short staffed, I completely lost it as all restaurants in Knysna know how busy it is during the festive season. I will NEVER make use of the Drydock Restaurant nor send people there for a meal. It is a pity that Knysna is getting such a bad name for the bad service they deliver!!
