Inconsistent policy and food quality

Our Family is normally a big fan of KFC, we used to order there for about R400-R500 per month.

In recent visits, the chicken has appeared old and very oily from time to time, the chips are nearly inedible, when you squeeze a handful of them it's like squeezing an oil filled sponge. The mash and gravy is usually out of proportion, sometimes they forget the mash! By the time you get home, it's a huge inconvenience to drive back and get it sorted out when you just wanted to sit down and enjoy a meal with the family.

We have had weird looks because we started unpacking our order out on the counter to check it, but then have a difficult time getting refunded for sub standard quality, since you pay upfront for your order.

We also do not enjoy the dry white chicken meat and it was never an issue to get the breast and keel swapped out for other preferred cuts, but again there is a very inconsistent result on this.

Hence we no longer support KFC until they can produce a meal that is at very least up to reasonable standards, nobody expects Michelin star, chef quality from a fast food franchise.

Our other local fast food options seem to be able to turn out enjoyable fast food meals
