I caught an early morning flight to cape town on the 22nd january 2013 and made the unfortunate decision to have breakfast at mugg and bean. The place was relatively empty and I ordered what I thought was a very simple breakfast, being 2 eggs (soft), 2 rashers of bacon, toast (white), fried tomato and a fried banana. Firstly it took 40 minutes to get this meager breakfast. When I got it, the eggs where hard like boiled eggs and the banana was raw. The Waitress was totally oblivious to this. No managers where to be seen in the 40 minutes I waited. Luckily I was very early at the airport and could afford to waste time. I pointed the faults to the waitress, received no apology, waited another 20 minutes and received the order correct. I was in no uncertain terms corrected by the waitress in a lesson about eggs and that next time I should say sunnyside and not soft - amazing, as I am 55 years of age and never had a problem in the understanding of egg order requests. I suppose, I had to tell her that the banana had to be fried too, even though its so advertised. I then tried to pay, but off course the credit card machine had no paper, so again I had to wait till this could be sort
