We went to eat breakfast at Olivedale Wimpy this past Saturday morning (28 September 2013).
We ordered our regular Farmhouse breakfasts, when they brought our meals I was instantly disappointed.
The so called "eggs" that came with our meals were tiny, as in the smallest eggs I have ever seen in my life the egg yolk was not even the size of a R2 coin.
I have had many a Wimpy breakfast, which are now fast becoming the most expansive breakfast one can buy, and have never ever had a problem with the eggs. This is seriously disappointing the breakfast costs R45 for 2 eggs, 3 pieces of bacon, some chips and a slice of toast at that price I expect to get decent sized eggs.
For R25 I could have had 2 big eggs, 2 slices of toast, lamb sausage, 2 slices of bacon and fried mushrooms at Newscafe... But they only serve breakfast till 12, so we had to settle for our old favourite Wimpy breakfast... Which we will never again indulge in due to the poor quality of food for its price.
Why must we pay for inferior quality, Wimpy has been the home of breakfasts in South Africa for years... But that seems to be changing fast, its time to up your game Wimpy!!!
