Im not the kind of person to complain about things, but this was just BAD! Had a quick bite of breakfast before my Mother left back to JHB.
Could have been one of the managers that helped us- she made no eye contact when she was talking to us. Thats forgivable, but then the food needs to be atleast good and value for money. Paid R67 for the Alll American breaky-
1) baked beans had not been heated through
2) bacon was super chewy
3) eggs had been fried in terribly dirty oil so they were covered in black specks and lots of excess oil
4) bad quality beef sausage as it was so dry, not juicy
5) and lastly the chips- were they a day old? Were they deep fried in old oil? Possibly yes to both questions.
My Mother ordered the "new on the menu" salmon cakes- these were deep fried/baked to blackness!
Service was slow (airport service is surely meant to be a little faster that other restaurants). Water for tea was cold upon arrival to our table.
Sadely for Mugg and Bean as a general franchise, I will not be returning! And this after we thought, "lets go to Mugg and Bean for a QUALITY breakfast" - we were clearly mistaken! Sorry guys!
