On the 8th December 2013, my girlfriend and I called Scooters Pizza, Hillcrest at 13:26 to place an order for delivery. The order was to be delivered to us at an address in Gillitts, which they were given during the phone call. At no such time did they state that we were located outside their delivery area, nor that the 39 minute delivery or free thereafter would fall away.
The order was taken at 13:31. At 14:13 the driver arrived. This was 42 minutes later, meaning that the delivery was now late, and free.
I told the driver that the delivery was late and that I'm not paying. He argued and showed me the invoice slip which stated that the order was taken at 13:37. I again argued with him showing him the time of the call on my girlfriend's cell phone and the duration of the time. He said, "Speak to my manager".
He called the Scooters branch and I spoke to the manager, who stated that they go by their system time, and not the customers' time. I explained to her that their system time was incorrect and that our time, and our friends' times were all the same, which means that their time must be wrong. She said she'd have to speak to head office.
This needs to be corrected!
