Late last week we decided to stop in at the Ocean Basket Westgate for some sushi, we had heard so much about Ocean Baskets sushi so the choice of restaurant was an easy one... however we were sorely disappointed. As we wanted to try a few of the offerings shown on the table talker, we decided to order 5 of the items and dshare between the 3 adults - we ordered the crispy crab california rolls, stuffed calamari, salmon salad, crispy prawn tempura california rolls and a standard veg fashion sandwich. After a 40 minute wait, 3 of the items arrived - the fashion sandwiches, and stuffed calamari and and prawn rolls, after another 10 minute delay we received the other 2 items. The salmon salad shown in the image on the table talker was a decent slice of salmon sprinkled with sesame seeds - the salmon we received included small strips of soggy salmon SOAKED in garlic with no sesame seeds (I have the images to show) further to this - we have no idea the calamari was stuffed with, if we had to guess it was some sort of shell fish - but when queried with the waiter we were told it was an onion mix with rice - on the image it shows rice. Not a great experience at all.
