Being a Disability Pensioner, receiving the Government Grant of R1270.00 per month,
may give you an idea of how to understand my unhappiness.
I had received my Grant the day previously and had decided to spoil myself with a soft serve ice cream.
I approached the counter and Goldilocks was so deep in discussion with both two of her colleagues that I was ignored.
At two different times I tried to break into the conversation to place my order.
To no avail.
I then spoke so loud, asking for service, that other seated patrons looked up at me.
I then placed my order and paid.
I had time to see your in-house TV showing a 'clip' re "The shopping experience".
I did not know whether to laugh or cry.
I felt that now that my invoice was thrust under my nose, I was 'done'.
I eventually received my ice cream
There was no communication, no "Good afternoon", "Please wait" or whatever...
When I got the ice cream, I looked at it and it was pathetic.
I walked away knowing
There is more - no space to tell
