On Sunday 28 April my son and I wanted to have a quick bite at Wimpy, as we were in a bit of a hurry. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. We ordered our drinks first, and waited very long. My son ordered a toasted sandwich, and myself a waffle with cream. We finished our drinks long before the food arrived. The waitress came out after 20 min or so, and told me they didn't have any cream, and could they serve my waffle with ice-cream instead. I don't like waffles and ice-cream, and politely said that I would rather cancel the order, and that they should bring my son's sandwich as a take away. She then told me that I would be charged for the waffle anyway, because it had already been made. I was not happy, but eventually I said that they could serve the waffle with ice-cream. It came, and was very small, and cold; the ice-cream wouldn't even melt on it, and my son said that his sandwich was also cold. We told the waitress that we were not enjoying it and were not happy at all. She said that maybe they switched the hotplate off, and she would go and find out. It was clearly a kitchen problem, and not the waitress's fault. No manager came to us, and no solution was offered.
