I purchased a Voucher for the Phuket Thai Restaurant in Umhlanga Rocks, off the Groupon website on the 19/10/2013. The contact details provided in order to make a booking, which is essential to use the voucher, has not worked, since the day I purchased the voucher. I also sent an email, requesting a booking to the email address supplied by Groupon, which was over a week ago, and nobody has responded as yet. When I called Groupon this morning, Zimbini insisted on trying to get me an alternate number which I will receive within 48 hours, as they also don't have any telephonic contact with the restaurant, so they are waiting for an email. Groupon should have validated this restaurant's details before promoting their voucher. This is false advertising and breach of contract. As a vested company, the restaurant should have ensured that the contact details provided for their bookings, were correct and in working order. I spent 17 minutes on the phone with Groupon trying to sort this out, which is an added cost to me. Is it really worth it to purchase these vouchers!!!
